XCPUScalar isn't improving my X50v's performance

I downloaded the trial version of the latest version of XCPUScalar 2004 today. I tryed it on my X50v with Morphgear and Pocket SNES(OpenGl version) at 728mhz (I made sure that the cpu was set to maximum performance)and in both circumstances I got the exact same speed as without using it! I used to use an older version on my Toshiba e400 so I am sure that I have set it up corectly, and I saw a very significant increase of performance with that (from 300 to 472mhz).

No, I don't have it on my PPC. But I did try it with Morphgear which should have worked as it is set to use GAPI which uses the CPU to generate the graphics so I should have noticed an improvement.

It probably isn't a deliberate con, but it does say that it is designed to work with the X50v and it doesn't/for some reason I'm not getting a speed improvement. So if I have set it up correctly (I think that I have) then technically it is a con. I'll change my title of the forum, as it does sound like an unjustified claim. Do you use it and get a speed improvement?

i tried it on my old pda (e335) and it caused a hard reset, so i'm kinda weary to try it on my axim. still, i've heard of a lot of success stories of it working well with the x50v.
