Replacement x50 for an x5 now what do I do

I just got an x50 as a warranty replacement for an x5. I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I have a couple of problems. First, I have an x5 keyboard and bluetooth keyboards are not cheap. Second the replacement did not come with either a usb connector cord or a cradle so I can't figure out how to connect it. I don't have bluetooth on my laptop (I could get a card, but it would probably cost about $30). Should I call dell and ask them to send me a cable? Should I just leave it alone and go find a blue tooth card or should I buy a usb connection cord? Third I just bought a new battery and have heard x50 have much shorter batteries than the x5. These are nice problems to have.

By the way this is the third time I have had a similar problem. I got and Palm IIIxe as a replacment for a palm IIIe, I got a Inspiron 8500 for an 8000 (similar problems because I had just bought a new battery about 2 months before I got the new machine and I couldn't use it) and now this one. It tells me I should keep getting these really long warranties.

The lowest model. But there is a big difference between the x5 and x50. So that is still a good upgrade!

FYI, you cannot establish a BT ActiveSync connection until a partnership has been established via USB.

So I have to get a cord at some point in time.

By the way I broke down and emailed Dell to ask them for a cord. I figured the worst they could do is ask me to send it back and give me an x5 (which I still really like). And hopefully they will send me an x50 cord. I have had very good luck with tech support the last week.

I also have had a ram chip go bad (how often does that happen) and had to get another copy of a driver disk and they were extremely helpful all three times.

Arshield - You seem to have had GREAT luck with Dell. Is there a secret handshake or something you're not telling us about?

No secret handshake. But I do like chat. That has worked well and in the future I will always buy the premier service. I got it on my laptop and the level of service I have recieved is well worth the small additional fee. Only problem is no chat, only phone support.
