I guess that I missed it though really I did look on our good friend Aximsite.com as well as google....
But I can't find the OzVGA any longer! Since it is freeware, I permit myself to ask - if anyone has a copy of the file including the DLLs, I would appreciate it if you could mail me

I have 2003 SE x50v

Howe do I delete the OZVGA downloaded from here Since it isn't in my "Remove Programs":rolling:

"If you have another WM5 VGA model,

give a try to the second-linked CAB file first. If you don’t see some icons on the taskbar, give a try to the x51v-specific version. "

Maybe I'l better use the MvRTrueVGA

The last was nothing more then a switch though worked good. But I decided to install the Makuu stuff here Incl the trueVGA applet otherwise the battery status screens is mixed up. Works good until now

Icon14 OzVGA Is AWESOME!

Greetings, I hate to admit it but I found the information a bit overly technical, but then again my reading comprehension has always been fairly low. Fortunately there are screenshots which help... a little.:approve:

Here's my question: (This has probably been answered but please bear with me.)

1.) Is it possible to have the ozVGA settings effect only one application instead of everything on the pda?

I used WM5 briefly and I noticed that I could change the VGA directly inside of PIE which was awesome! However, after a while of tinkering with WM5 I decided it wasn't for me; even with all the "unofficial" patches I found for it - including OzVGA - I still didn't like the fact that it no longer supported backing up to .stg files in Activesync. Stg files are my life-link. Since I don't use outlook express and I've had too many problem syncing individual programs I just found it to be more efficient to have a single full backup of the ipaq and I'd backup it once or twice a week. Why Microslush decided to remove that feature I'll never know, but it's not the first time they've made stupid decisions. Anyway, I'm looking for the PIE features of WM5 under WM2003SE. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Keep up the great work :approve:

Hi Menneisyys,

Wow what an excellent explaination! Thanks.

I have just bought a X50v on ebay for an application that requires a 640X480 display. I did a lot of research thatand convince that it had to be a VGA 640X480 I bought it. Well you guessed it the application reported that it wasn't a 640X480 resolution.

I then did a lot more research where I saw a couple of reviews which stated that Windows 2003SE (which I have) doesn't support the VGA resolution!! Ahhhhhh!!!

Then more searching and I hit the Axim site and read your excellent post. No not being a tech head (sorry) it would appear that my unit can be forced into this mode. What I would like to know if I get my Son in Law who is a Degreed Tech Head to do the registry changes will the unit then report to any program that requests "what resolution are you?" will it report 640X480???

If it doesn't then this application will not run past the report incorrect resolution prompt? My Son In Law lives interstate hence asking the question as I don't want to send the unit 1000km and have him do the registry change where you proably know the answer to the question.

I hope you are able to put my mind at rest before sending the X50v off.

Regards,

Fleetz

Hi MArk,

Will your application work on my X50v running Windows 2003SE?

Hello,
How I could make my WM5 Brazilian portuguese A01 (soon, A12) work on "True VGA"?

I guess most of the softwares are for english roms...
