use picture as today background

I heard that you can use a picture as a background for the today screen and was wondering what format (size, colors, ect) that a picture has to be in ?

I took a generic picture from my pc and sent it to the x50v and then went into settings/today and selected the "use this picture as the backgound?

It did use the picture but it was very light and whiteish. So light you could hardly see it.

Thanks
Tony

I think it's because it kinda follow the whatever theme you have originally. Which tends to have transparency effect.

If you have the new version of Resco Picture viewer, it now has an option to use picture as background, and it doesnt change the quality of it.

Hope that helps.

I do not have any themes, I was just using whatever came with the x50.

Do you think it would be easier to create a theme, with picture, as I like it ?

Are there any good programs, that are cheap ?

Thanks

If you use the pictures program that comes installed on your Axim to open the picture you can then select "Set as wallpaper" form the options menu. It will then ask you to set the transparency level form 100% to 0%. Enjoy~

Awesome, that looks great. I guess I have to mess around to find the best pciture size so that it fills the whole screen.

Are there any decent theme creators that won't break the bank ?

It will probably be something I won't use often so I want to keep costs down

Thanks for the excellent help

There is a free plug in from Spb for the MS software to create extended themes. That is free as well.

That looks awesome. Thanks

By the way, is there any way I can take the Windows Default Theme, and change it around (change backgtound, ect) ?

I really like that theme, but wanted to add my own background picture, and change some of the colors. Then save it as a new theme so that if I ever have to reload the axim I just copy one file and it's done

Thanks
