Exiting the X50v System Information??

I was going through my new Axim X50v and clicked on the System Information icon in the Settings-System tab. Doing so brought up all of the information. But now how do you exit off the page or get back to the Today screen. There is no 'ok' or 'close' or 'x' button to click. The only way I have found to get off this screen is to do a soft reset.

Now, with further experimenting I have found out that I can bring up all sorts of other programs on top of the System Information screen (so I know the PDA doesn't hang). But when I do this, the top title bar doesn't show up in any of the programs...no x or ok buttons, etc.

Has anyone else experienced this? I would appreciate any help!

Hmm

Hmm, it shows the "ok" on mine...

At first I thought it's because I'm using WA2, but I exited, and I still see the "ok" button on the systme information screen...

First, welcome to Aximsite!

Second, My X50v shows an "OK" button on the System Information screen, too. And, try as I might, I couldn't find any way to make the Navigation Bar disappear on any application. Could you have downloaded a utility that hides the Navigation Bar? That would actually be useful in some apps to gain some screen real estate, and I would be interested in knowing what it was.

Be sure to let us know what your issue was and how you fixed it.

Good luck! :approve:

What do you have installed? Did you try a soft reset?

I have had the problem in the past and had just stopped calling the system information. I thought it might be the "Magic Button" navigation bar. I just now accessed System Info and the "OK" button is there and works. Tried it with Magic Button disabled and it still works. Chalk another one up to "An Act of God".

I appreciate the responses. I tried just about everything including multiple soft resets, removing the two programs I had installed (Microsoft Reader and Magic Button), then restored the PDA from my original backup out of the box. Still had the problem after all of this. Talked to Dell, but they were no help in identifying the cause. Yes, I could just not use the feature, but its a bug, and I know about it, so it was bugging me. I ended up doing a hard reset (what Dell recommended after very little troubleshooting) and now everything is fine. I don't know what it was, but its fixed. I hope I don't have to do this very often...

Huh! Very odd problem! I was really hoping that you or Dell would figure out what was causing it. Especially since it appears that others have experienced the same exact problem. Oh, well, at least your Axim's back to working the way it should. Hope you don't run into it again! Good luck.
