I use Chapura's PocketMirror Pro 1.0 for Windows Mobile specifically to synch Outlook Public Folder, and it works pretty well. It "imbeds" itself into ActiveSynch, and you set it up to replace ActiveSync's ability to synch one or more of Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks.
When you use PM to sync subfolders benath a default folder or to sync public folders, PM creates a category with the name of the folder preceded by an asterisk on the PPC. So the folders themselves do not appear on the PPC, only "*folder".
When I first tried PM, I went whole hog with bunches of subfolders, and PM tripped up (failed to synch properly). I now use PM to synch only top level Public Folders (specifically contacts), and it works great. For me the $50 price was worth having access to all that company-wide data.
PM manages duplicates, too. I used to use MS's free Outlook PCS and some free duplicate manager for which I cannot remember the name. PM works superbly better than that approach.
Chapura's PocketMirror was the only product I was able to find that would synch Public Folders. I contacted several other software firms directly, and they were unable to do it. This was several months ago.Chapura's technical support has been very responsive to me the several times I talked with them right after I bought PM.
