How are you deleting them, and where are they stored?

i've tried 2 ways. going to file explorer on the PDA and deleting it that way. also tried deleting by opening the 'active sync' file folder system and exloring the files on teh PDA. after deleting and using 'memory' on the PDA i can see that the memory size increases but when i soft reset it the files come right back. grrrr

Which files are these? Are these your own personal files you put in?

And just to confirm, when you delete in File Explorer, are you tapping, holding down and then selecting Delete?

mp3 and some voice recorded files. and yes i'm delting it with file explorer. :(

could it be a defective disc?

i tried using a card reader (lexar) and it won't read the card (windows gives me error saying write failure or something like that). i'm able to read a memory stick on the same reader. so i'm not sure what's going on.

Yes, it definitely sounds like it's a defective card. Since the card reader can detect the card, I would recommend formatting it (right click and select Format). Be aware that this will erase everything on your card.
