X30 vs X50/51 size & weight

Hey all, I'm hoping someone might be able to answer a question or two that I have. I currently own an Axim X5 Advanced. It was a great device but now I'm interested in upgrading a bit. I was looking into a refurbished X30i from Dell, but since they're no longer available, the new X51v has some pretty nice specs. But it looks larger than the X30.

I was wondering if anyone has done any in-person comparisons that might be helpful to me. I'm wondering what the size difference between the two are, and also the weight differences. The X30 was very light, and pretty thin, and I liked that.

For my tastes, the X5 that I have now has become a little chunky and heavy. Any insights would be most helpful. Thanks! :)

I haven't held an X30 or an X5, but I upgraded from a palm 505 and given that units small ergonomic form factor, I was worried about size too. I can confidently attest that the X50/51 is not chunky at all. The case you put it in might at some heft, but the unit itself is a perfect size as far as I'm concerned

I own both a X30H and a X50v. This link will show you the specs between the three devices. I hope this helps. In the future if you go to the menu Resources > Model Comparison, you are able to select the devices to compare.

Thanks Frenchy. I did see that, but while the numbers are nice to look at, sometimes things feel differently in the hand. When I first got my X5, I was amazed at how small it was considering how I read that others thought it was big and bulky. That's the only reason I started a thread instead of just looking at the numbers. But I appreciate the reply :)

That's great, mmelgar. I could only assume that since you went from something so small, that if I went from something as large as the X5, I would be pleased with the size as well. Thanks!
