Restored to firmware A04.

Ever since upgrading to A05 my Axim 50 "randomly" looses connection via Activesync. First I thought it was a bad cradle but the problem persisted at home as well as work.

The only way to restore connection was a hard reset. Anyone else been having problems? Activesync would simply report "Not Connected".

I did not have this problem prior to A05 so I rolled back to A04 and will see how it goes.

I have been using A05 since it came out and have nothing but good things to report. No problems what so ever... Good Luck~

A hard reset? Maybe you ment soft reset!

Active Sync is pathetic. There is a freeware program called "re-sync" that allows you to jump start the PC side of Active-Sync, I find it helps to reconnect without needing a re-boot...

No - I mean hard reset. Soft reset would not help.

It might be caused by a software you have installed, since everything was back to normal when you did a hard reset. I sometimes have the same connection problem and when I start the Activesync manually from the PDA, the connection is always restored.
