Dell Axim X51V Easysync Pro problems
Help! I just recieved the Dell Axim X51v and i have the lastest EasySync Pro ver 4.2.3 and when i go to install it on the X51v it says on the PDA screen that EasySync Pro is using an out dated File Format!!! and aborts the install! Help does anyone else have this problem, worked fine with Mobile 2003. I have to have something that will sync with Lotus Notes here at work.

Any help???

Welcome aboard. WM5 use ActiveSync 4 and many applications still have not been upgraded to use this version of ActiveSync.

I got bad news for ya. I did some digging around and to my understanding Easysync is a modified version of XTDNConnect PC which at this time does not have Windows Mobile 5 support. Even with the next release of the easysync 4.2.4 you will not see this support my sources tell me.

This is also sad news for me too, since I sync my x50v to my lotus notes.

I hear mNotes does provide Windows Mobile 5 support tho

Thanks for the Info! Yes its sad news too. My boss just came by and asked when it was going to be fixed! I downloaded that mNotes but couldnt get it to work right. I wonder if there is any thing else that will sync with Notes and Mobile 5 now?

Contact CommonTime directly. It's the best solution for Notes Syncing. I've used it for about three years and their support is excellent.

I called them and they stated that there would be a release to work with windows mobile 5.0 in about 4 or 5 weeks from now. There current software does not work with windows mobile 5.0.

At present, EasySync Pro releases 4.2.3, 4.2.2, and 4.2.1 do not support Windows Mobile 5.0.

Easysync 4.2.4 is under development and will be available later on according to IBM
