What is happening with my SD Card?
I have a X50v with most of my software installed on the SD card. A few weeks ago, I began to develop an odd problem with INBOX and Internet Explorer. I had the cache for IE on my SD card (and, no, I was not having any speed problems whatsoever, perhaps as a result of my speedy WiFi connection). For about two months this worked fine. Then, I began having an odd problem with IE. It would refuse to stay open. I'd click on the IE icon, it would open to my homepage, than immediately close again. The problem occured several times a day and would go away immediately after a soft reset.
I has some similar problems with INBOX. INBOX stores mail in main memory, but attachements on the SD card.
Eventually, I started to suspect that the problem was with the SD card. So, I used MEMMAID to move the IE cache to BIS and did the same with INBOX attachements. The result is that I am no longer having any problems.
Any ideas as to what might be going on?
BTW, I use INBOX and IE primarily through WiFi or sometimes via Bluetooth and my cell phone. I only mention so that you all know that this is not an activesync issue.
Also, I used Pocket Mechanic to check the card for errors - no problems.
