How do I setup multiple serial Bluetooth ports?

HI,

I want to connect two serial devices (GPS and Weather Receiver) Bluetooth device to my Axim X50v. However, after connecting the first one, the attempt to connect the second one generates an error. The error message reads: "Unable to create a Bluetooth connection at this time. Please make sure no other serial connection is established ....".

I can't believe the Axim can support two serial devices. My PC has no problem with this setup.

Thanks,

Jerry

It's not possible to do that as far as you are with WM2003SE.

I read that WM2005 will hvave this feature : enable blutooth port sharing for multiple device connection (it was on Engadget, I think).

Sorry, we'll have to wait a little more...

Thanks.

Hopefully my copy of WM2005 will show up soon.

Think you are not aware...

Pls check out GPSGATE.

You are redirect the device output port into its virtual port, which allows sharing.

GPSGate will allow one device (usually a GPS) to be output to a virtual serial port which allows you to run multiple GPS programs at the same time using one receiver, but I don't think it will allow you to run two bluetooth serial ports at the same time.

If you have a use for its features though it is a great program and I highly recommend it.

I think his problem is the other way around Ken. He has 2 devices (GPS and Weather) and wants to connect them. Maybe set them up on different ports??
