Geo Rally & Toy Golf Problems

Just got the x51v and georally and toygolf start to load and just keep loading without getting to the play screen. Once toy golf made it to the play screen but then would not go past that? I did not load them to a card -- loaded to the device. Anyone else have this problem -- did I miss something on the install. Thanks

I'm not a gamer, I tried the game for around 5 mins and while the load screen was slow, the game worked fine and at a good speed.

If you want to play a pretty good game with hardware acceleration try out Quake Mobile. They don't have a trial version but it is pretty awesome.

Are you running your processor at full speed?

Yes. I have started running it full speed all the time. WM5 seems a little slow if you don't. At least it does on mine. Most ly noticable when you first turn it on, it takes about 2 secs for it to draw the today screen on the auto setting. On Max setting it just takes a split second.

I have tested Quake in several occasions since it became available at PocketMatrix around 4 years ago I believe. I have not tested that Quake Mobile. But like I said... I’m not a "gamer". The X50/1v have 16 MB of video memory and the best video chip available in any mobil device in the market. This makes these devices the best that you can find for gamers but... This setup is far from being a standard and when you are going to develop a game you must think of getting the biggest part of the market if you want to get some money back. Unfortunately, like I said, this video chip is used only in our Dells so many developers do not feel that they should create games just for this little portion of the market.

The GeoRally game locked up the same way for me. I did a soft reset (Gotta love Spb Pocket Plus for this) and then the game ran fine.

If you have Resco Expolorer Today screen or Pocket Breeze today screen running, OpenGL ES games seem to freeze when launched.

Other similar programs may cause the same problems too.
