Smoky coincidence?
This afternoon, after a long meeting during which a colleague drained my x51v by playing Toy Golf, I put my new unit on the cradle, and I was immediately hit by the acrid smell of a fried PC power supply.
My desktop Dell (another new machine) had died! Our IT administrator came and picked it up. He'll replace the power supply, and hopefully it will never happen again.
My PPC seems to be fine, but I won't know about any power issues until I am able to hook it up to my PC again.
Some thoughts- shorted USB cable, bad PDA, flaky PC power supply, or just a coincidence.
Any ideas?
