My x51v wifi trouble solved
I was having a horrible time with the WIFI on my x51v. It would sporadically download a website but for the most part it would time out. I tried a bunch of recommendations from aximsite and others, to no avail.

Here how I eventually solved the problem.

I just got a new laptop with a powerful a/b/g intel wireless minipci card. When setting up the laptop, I realized that a neighbor was broadcasting on the same channel as my router. My neighbors signal was very very weak. My old laptop and my x51v didn't see the signal. Anyway, I changed the channel from 6 to 1 on my router and waa-lah, the WIFI on the x51v works great. To confirm this was the problem, I switched back to channel 6 and the problem returned.

I have used a number of other devices with my router on channel 6 with no trouble. It seems the x51v is somewhat sensitive to interference. Has anyone else had the same experience.

Thought you might be interested.
