Sync with Media Player 10 not working
Sigh.

I have a 512MB CF card plugged in (and issues with it in another thread: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=100470 )

Started up WMP10 in Windows, went to the Sync tab, and "No device detected". WTF? From activesync 4.0 I can happily explore the CF card and copy files to/from it. So why does WMP10 refose to detect the card?

Plugging the card into a separate card reader results in WMP10 picking it up, but I didn't expect to have to sync using a card-reader!

And contacted dell's support telephonically was quite a waste of my time. On hold for 30 min, and the end result was "try a hard reset after backing up your data".

Right. Any ideas?

I had the same trouble, and plenty of other trouble, too syncing with WMP10 (see thread: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=100840

What worked for me to get Media Player to find the card in the device was to install the leaked version of Active Sync 4.1. You should be able to locate 4.1 with a brief Google search.

Good luck.

If your problem isn't fixed yet you might want to check this URL from Microsoft.

You're welcome, I fought this one for a couple of days before I found the cure.
