Hi Guys.

I was wondering if anybody knows if it woild be possbile to install 2003SE onto an axim x51v? As the hardware is very simialr to the x50v, it should theoretically be possible, but how would one obtain the operating system e.g. on CD?

Does anybody who recieved an upgrade to 2003SE have it on CD or can post it so that I may download it?

The reason is that I need to open large files with isilo on my axim and for some reason each time I do a short time later my CF card disappears requiring a soft or sometimes even hard reset. I think this may be related to the new memory format: something which would not occur if I could install 2003SE.

I don't think the x51v hardware would be suitable for 2003 since it has no backup battery. Any time you removed the battery (even for a second or two) an x51v with 2003 would undergo a hard reset. Like the rest of us you may just have to wait for a ROM update to hopefully fix the problems.

well - i was also hoping that it would be possible... the hardware of x51v is cool, the OS sucks...
