X51v wakes up every 5 or 10 minutes for a few seconds...

Has anyone else noticed that their X51v wakes itself up every 5 or ten minutes, shows a blank screen for a few seconds, and then goes back to sleep?

Mine seems to wake up a few minutes after a reminder for an alarm has gone off. It shows a white blank screen for a few seconds and sleeps again.

The real problem, I have with it is that when it wakes up, it stops the LED flashing (flashing to signal a missed alarm). Therefore, I have no notification of the missed alarm anymore.

Funnily enough, if I select snooze for 5 minutes for such an alarm, 5 minutes later, the LED starts flashing and remains to do so indefinitely (as selected). Weird!

A soft reset seems to cure this behaviour (for a while).

Anybody else seen this (or something like this)?

Yes, I've only had mine for a few days and have noticed this happening. I have never set an alarm yet so that's not the issue with mine. I do have the missing cf card thing tho and the last time I saw it turn on, on it's own, was while the cf card was not recognized. I have done a soft reset to make it see the cf card and let it turn off on it's own and have not seen it come back on. I wonder if the two problems are related. Like the unit is trying to poll the cf card for whatever reason and it can't and repeats periodically. Hmmm. I'll bet after a couple hours being off it starts up again. I wonder what the unit is doing after a couple hours while turned off to cause this?

Update, a couple minutes after writing before, it turned on again for a few seconds. I quickly grabbed it and checked under system/memory and both cards (sd+cf) are gone 'not installed' and Activesync is running again (I had turned it off with switcher bar before and checked to make sure it was not running. This was also only a matter of maybe twenty minutes it prolly just depends on when Activesync decides to run. (BTW this is all not in the cradle) Sooo... maybe I'll try putting Activesync 4.1 on and see what it does.
Does anyone know if the AS 4.1 that's floating around the net (I assume it's a beta) is functional, or badly buggy, or okay?

I have used this version of ActiveSync from the beginning. It seems quite functional.

BTW ActiveSync on the Axim running a few minutes after you've shut it down is normal.
