FWIW, My x51v A06 and Telus V710 won't work.
The phone thinks it's paired, but the axim says the code failed, asks for it again, then goes to the blank services page (sound familiar?:) ).
I sure could use some help with my Axim X51v(A06) and Cingular Motorola V551 Phone. It doesn't want to connect, and doesn't give me any error message either. My Palm TX worked right out of the box, but it isn't as fast and doesn't have as good of a screen as the palm. Any help would be appreciated.

I am new to this thread, so some of this may have been covered already. You may have two issues with your setup. Cingular has limited the fuctionality of some of it's BT, and the implementation of the MS stack on WM5 isn't the best either.
I have a cingular branded moto v551 and an x50v wm2003se and they are paired. I can access the net using DUN, but it uses GPRS and will not dial a landline isp. Unless you have a very old cingular account you will not get a landline from cingular.
I can use the medianet connection to access any part of the internet, not just wap, but you must access the net with GPRS.
If you have previously tried to pair the devices, remove all old pairings. If you have a program that can clean the registry, do that as well. You really do want to start from scratch.
You should use the connection manager and pair the devices. I used the passkey 1234. You must enter those digits on both devices. You should now see the services of your phone, including the DUN.

I GOT THE V710 TO WORK WITH THE X51!!!!!!!!
You must follow these instructions exactly!!!
I am not responsible for any damage you do to your system by modifying the registry. I would recomend a backup before doing anything.
You will need at least one other device the is BT enabled that supports DUN to get this to work. (Yes, it will need to show DUN in the services on the other device. I used a motorola razor from cingular. You will also need a registry editor of some sort. I used RESCO registry editor.
These steps were done using an X51 MID A05 and a Verizon branded V710.
MAKE SURE THE DEVICES DON'T HAVE THE SAME DEVICE NAME!!First pair the X51 and the other device that has DUN on it, and actually shows it in the servies. Pair as per instructions for the two devices. Please use the Pass Key: 1234 Next pair the V710 and the X51 as per the regular style. It will ask for the pass code twice. Please use the pass key: 1234.
Now as we all know, it will show no services. Great, keep going.
Now take a look see at those bizzare numbers. (Yes those are MAC Addressses) Each one represents a Device. (IE Your phone or what ever.) Hopefully you only see two. If not, it doesn't matter. If you tap on the Number you should see an entry called name. Look for the device that showed the DUN service avaible. Tap the plus. Copy the entire services folder (on mine it looks like a folder) then find your V710 in that device list. Paste in in there. You should be good to go.
Go to connection manager, and create a new connection. Type the number to dial (for VZW its #777) next you will come to a screen that says select a device. Your V710 should now show.

I only have one issue, and that's how to get the V710 to hang up and disconnect. I had to turn off the phone to get it to. Better than not working, though!

You have to disconnect from the Axim - click on the connection icon on the top of the Today screen, and choose Disconnect.

It took me a minute, but I had figured that out before posting. The problem is that, even after doing that, the phone still said packet data (although the Bluetooth symbol went away) and pressing any buttons brought up the "use the PC to disconnect" message. I'll have to do some more testing. Could have been a glitch.

How do I find my V710's MAC address. I looked through the menus and in programming mode and couldn't find it...
Also, with the services.reg file, do I just make a text file and paste in what you posted, name it services.reg, and run it on the Axim to add that to the registry?

You know you have your V710 if the "name" entry from above says "Motorola Phone" (or whatever you renamed it, if you did). Your MAC address is the name of that folder, like coolbre304 said.
For registry edits and viewing, I use Total Commander CE (it is free). But most people use Resco's registry editor (I think?).

Find your MAC Address for your V710 like coolbre's posted, and like I reposted.
When you go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\BLUETOOTH\Device\ you will see one folder for each Bluetooth device you have paired. The name of each of those folders is the actual MAC Address of each device you have paired. If you only have one device paired, then that is your V710. If you have more than one device, then click on each folder and click on "name" and find the one for your V710. Write down your MAC Address.
Edit my Services.reg file and put in your V710's MAC Address.
Using Total Commander CE, copy that reg file to the \\\registry folder and it will automatically update your registry with that reg file. I think that's how to do it - I'm still new to the pda game. :rolling:
