x51 and audible manager not compatible?

When I was buying my x51, Dell gave me a $100 credit to try an audible sub saying it works great on the x51. Well, the x51 is not on audible's supported device list! I'm able to download the audiobooks and burn them on CD, but Audible Manager won't recognize the x51. It has no option for a WM 5 device, only PPC 2002/3. I tried that and now Activesync is failing! I was able to use a card reader to transfer the audiobook over for limited satisfaction.

Why would Dell sell me on something that doesn't even work fully on the x51?

Seems it was activesync's fault. Took the x51 out of the cradle 30 minutes later and I was locked in a white screen. Guess that's not audible's fault.

I'm using Audible on my x51v every day with no problem.

How did you initially set it up? I'm using ActiveSync 4.1 with ax X51v (A04) and I can't get Audible to activate the device - "Can't Get Device ID" error. That doesn't make sence, because in Audible Manager, it's reading the SD card and showing me titles that I've already copied.

Hmph. Guess I'll be calling Audible tomorrow...
