Outlook Backups

Given the problems cited with the Axim X51, I would like a little extra security and periodically also backup my saved Outlook files (Contacts and Calendar). Does anyone know the name/location of those files to save from the desktop hard drive? thanks.

On your desktop Outlook, click on File - Import and Export - Export to a File - Personal Folder File (pst) - then select what you want backed up. To restore the file, just go to the same setting and select Import a file and then choose your .pst file.

My Outlook files are contained in a folder named 'Outlook'. This folder is in the following foldering system:

C:/Documents and Settlings/'your log in name' mine is Robert/Local Settings/Application Data/Microsoft/Outlook

Just back up this folder and you have all of your Outlook data saved. Should you ever want to transfer this information to another computer that is not set up wtih a cradle or cable for your unit just copy this file to the appropriate folder on that computer and its updated.
