Data backup on X51V

I have been trying to backup to SD the Data on my new X51V. I should first point out that I can copy to my 1GB SD or even sync music from media player on my PC to the SD card in the Axim. Now if I try to do a data backup, after spending probably 5 minutes scanning the data, when finally I try and start the backup it registers 1% done, sits there for a few minutes and then finally says that the card must be read only. Has anyone come across this problem. I spoke to Spanish tech support and they hadn't a clue.

Weird... have you tried backing up to built in storage and then copying across? Not a solution I know, but maybe a work around.

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't seem to give me the option of backing up to internal storage. Only SD appears as a choice. I shall try again with that in mind. Am I right in thinking that no one is yet producing an application to back up to PC, so synchronisation is the only way at present?

I have the same issue but with both a CF or SD card. My solution was to get an application called Sunnysoft Backup Manager 3.7 from www.sunnysoft.com which makes a complete or selected backup of the entire X51V. It also has some very nice features that the application that came with my X51V (that does not work for me). You can also download the complete version of their application and try it for 14 days (very nice of them). BTW I am not sure why the back up application that came with my X51V will not work.
