System Bus, Device Controllers, Buffers & Cache?
I'm very new to using Pocket PC type devices. I'd like to gain a better understaning about what is going on inside this device. Just like a more traditional computing platform, I assume that the device has a system bus that connects the CPU, memory, I/O devices, etc. I assume that the device uses some sort of device controllers that allow the system to communicate with I/O devices. I assume that the device makes extensive use of buffers and caches to improve the performance of applications on these devices.
Can anyone comment on what these components look like on a Dell Axim X51 and put this into terms that a person with a strong background in more traditional computing platforms could understand?
Thanks,
Mart Doyle
