Dell Axim x51v Power Button
Hello everyone,
I recently bought a Dell Axim x51v and upgraded the ROM. This morning, when I took it off the docking station, my power button which is usually lit green had no light at all. However, I could turn it on and off and when I charged it, the orange/amber-ish color would light up. I can't seem to get the green light back however once in a while, while it is on the docking station, the light will change from the amber charging light to the green powered on light.
Does anyone know what's wrong and how I can fix it?
Thank you for your time,
laist.

No light = no incoming power
Orange light = incoming power, but not fully charged as yet.
Green light = incoming power and fully charged.
Flashing green = message / reminder / alarm

My problem is that when I turn it on, OFF the docking station, there is still no light.

And there never will be, unless it is a flashing light to let you know there is an alert or an almost dead battery.
Read the post above yours again.
There is one more: Flashing Orange means the battery is almost dead and needs to be charged/changed.
Edit: Just to try and make it even clearer for you, the middle two from that post (solid orange or solid green) can only happen whet it is plugged in to a power source.

Never heard of that happening, so I couldn't tell you if it was a problem.

Similar Problem
Have a new x51v axim. I have upgraded the ROM and have the large Lion battery. When I put it in the charger, after a few minutes the light flashes orange, green, orange, green, etc. If and when I ever do get it charged, the maximum time I show at 100% charged is 3:13 hours using spb Pocket Plus. If I turn it on while the light is flashing, it will show 100%. However, when I take it out of the cradle, the light will show green and power shows about 34%. HELP!

Dunno if this applies but...
I assume you know that if you press and hold the power button you'll completely shut off the Axim. A light press and release powers the screen off but the Axim is still alive.

I've also had a flashing orange light. What does that mean.
HINT: I had an error message at the time which read something like: "Detected battery latch disengaged". Note however that the battery latch had not even been touched, and the AXIM had simply been sitting on the office desk for 10 minutes.

Nope... if I press and hold my power button, I get full power off!
