I received my X51v about a month ago. As everyone else did, I too had the same issues. After upgrading to the new ROM version, some items were corrected (as did for others). My first PDA was a Palm IIIc then a Palm V. I then switched to PPC and bought a Dell X5, then X30i and finally the X51v. I have always been a fan of Dell's products. I have also purchased two desktops and a laptop. The X51v was the first Dell product that I have had problems with. Yes the problems are bothersome, but I can live with them. For the power and storage capabilities, I will certainly wait for the X51v to become "perfect". The main reason why I upgraded from the X30i was to regain the CF slot lost from the X5. I believe Dell will come through with the correct fix in the near future...and till then I am not giving up hope on future Dell products.

Have had mine (X51v) for just over two weeks now. Came close to sending it back after the unit slowed to a crawl - I mean REAL SLOOOOWWWW...(no doubt due to some incompatible software or CF driver I installed). As long as I don't keep the SD card in, zero problems with it. It's awesome.

To me, this unit is well worth waiting for the update(s). It's simply the best unit out there right now for the money.

If and when a "hardware" update becomes available - I'm certain Dell will swap it out anyway.
