today I found that on the right channel of my x51v I am getting low sound than the left channel. If I play a song I can hear the music and voice on left channel. But the right channel only plays music, there is very little or no voice(with some echo type effect) on right channel.

I changed headphone still same. Also the same song on my desktop is giving proper sound on the same headphone.

It was not like this at the begining. Also soft reset did not help. Don't want to do hard reset at this time. It will be the last resort.

Any clue?

Make sure your plug is fully connected to the jack. There is a lot of resistance to inserting the plug in the jack.

You can backup and do a hard reset. (no data lost)

Or you could take it and throw it against a wall, and then tell Dell it exploded in your pocket.....

It sounds as if you are using headphones, so try a different pair.
