I am really sorry to make this question, but, are you sure was off?, because sometimes the backlight can be off but the pda is still on, just a remark

yes i'm sure, because if it had been on the music would have played all the time. it did start about 2 hours after turning it of, i checked it it was really of and listen if it's came from the pda. some other times it did it only for some seconds. and it did not happen only once

edit: ok it did happen again today. pda was turned off and tehn it startet to play the mp3 and also the blue blutoth light start to blink. it played some seconds and then was off again.

i am the only one who have this? it's like i park my car turn it of and some hours later engin will just start by itself and then go off again.

I have this problem too.
I use TCPMP to play videos and sounds, I turn off the Axim and it will just turn on by itself, play a bit and at least it turns itself off again.

Also it turns on when it is in the cradle loading the battery up, but then it doesnt turn off ...

Could the program that you use to play the mp3 have some sort of wakeup feature in the options? Just a thought.. Haven't experienced this myself.
