Cambridge Silicon Radio Addon for WM5 Bluetooth

Cambridge Silicon Radio Ltd. has kindly released a MS BT Stack addon that adds more features to the MS BT Stack.

Here are the services that were added to the MS BT Stack after the installation of the addon ...

- Bluetooth Printing Service

- Bluetooth Security Service

- Bluetooth Imaging Services

- Bluetooth FTP Service

- Bluetooth Audio Streamimng Service

See here for download link. I've installed it and can now transfer pictures from my Sony K750i to X51 via BT. Its caused a problem on Active Synch so I'll have to play with the settings to see if it still works as hoped.

Theres also a discussion about a Widcom addon here which looks promising :)

A bonus side to this, since installing this 2 nice little apps have started working on my X51 which I liked..

Instant SMS & Bluetooth Dialer from http://www.vmobilesoftware.com/index.htm

I can now send SMS via BT to my Sony K750i and also remotely dial contacts from my X51 contacts. :approve:

I can't get this to work to save my life. I have a RAZR V3, which may be part of the problem.

Can someone who has this working properly tell me which services you have available when you pair your phone?

Hi Forge,

You might want to read thru the rest of this thread. They got a different phone working but the concept of making it work might be the same. Good luck.

I actually CAN do the DUN thing... I'm more interested in getting BTDialer and an SMS program to work.

However, I think I've given up for now. I applied the cambridge upgrade to my x51v and it started doing some screwy stuff... no sound from speaker or headphones, songs wouldn't play from CF drive even though I could see the drive and files just fine, etc... just some strange flakiness shortly after installing that file.

One uninstall and MemMaid advanced clean later, all is well again.

I hear you loud and clear. There's a lot that can be done with the widcomm stack that cannot be done with the x51's present crappy bluetooth stack. Let's just hope that someone figure out how to integrate the widcomm stack with the x51's.
