x51v activesync to connect to the internet

I've looked everywhere but I can't set this up! How do you go about getting a windows mobile 5 device (Axim x51v A04 ROM, activesync 4.1) to connect to the internet using activesync as a passthrough? I know I have wi-fi, but I have reasons for needing to do it this way.

I have as 3.8, this is how you do that in this version. When connected to activesync go to tools, options. Where you see pass through, select internet.

Thank you. I've since figured out how to do it on 4.1.
