How to connect bluetooth GPS receiver to Axim X51V and stay on

Finally got bluetooth GPS receiver to connect with X51V. Great thanks to all the folks in this forum. I just got my X51v. Spent the past two days to try to figure out how to connect the two.

It has nothing to do with the upgrade from A01 to A06.

Here is what I figure out finally:
1)Turn on Bluetooth
2)Tap New Partnership--see BelkinGPS in list
3)Tap BelkinGPS and Save.
4)Enter passkey 0000 and next
5)Highlight "Serial Port" and finish.
6)Back to Bluetooth New partnership screen -- See BelkinGPS
7)Select BelkinGPS and "Save"
8)Select COM Ports tab, click New outgoing Port
9)Select New outgoing Port, select BelkinGPS and next. Select COM7. Finish
10)Select New incoming Port, change to COM8. Finish.

Then click ok on the top. The GPS is supposed to work.

Hahah...you don't really think it's that easy, do you? Because that's what got me for the past two days. The GPS receiver would blink for 2 seconds then die everytime.

What did I figure out to do next to fix it?

Hahah...Go to your whatever map software, find the GPS option there. You need to turn on the port to COM7 and set the Baud rate.

Yeah....finally after 2 days of frustration, I can smile and have a good night sleep.

Good luck everyone and again thank for all those people who have shared their experience before!

Well done. I stumbled on the magic sequence after much trial and error, too. Dell's support tech comment- "huh, it should be working. Well its really twitchy" They have no clue about these steps.
