How come I can't connect to my WLAN??

I just got my Axim x51v today, and I haven't been able to connect to any WLANs. I have tried mine, and I know the key is correct, but it won't connect. My router is a D-Link Dl-624. I don't think it is the router though, because I tried connecting to one of my neighbor's and it wouldn't go through. Please help!

Is the router broadcasting an SSID? You will need it to in order to connect to it.
Is the router set to allow -B and -G speeds? The Aim uses the -B lower speed to connect.
Are you SURE youi have the key correct? You may need to turn the key off in order to test it, then turn the WEP key back on again.

My WLAN will not connect to anything unless I also have Bluetooth on. I have no idea, but it drove me crazy until I figured that out.

I had this same problem, and that is the main reason I came to this site. Thanks to your writeup, I was able to connect to my network without any problems. :approve:

I will have to see if I actually get connected tomorrow when I turn my X51v back on, but for now, it is connected and I can surf the net.

Thanks very much for the help!

The only solution, I found, to connect to my WPA securized network is to use Odyssey client. I don't know why, but WLAN utility doesn't work.
But pay attention, there seems to be some issues leting it on always. The best is to enable it only when you connect and to turn it off when you don't nedd.
Otherwise you may have "WSOD" no on/off, extraconsumption, ...
