I don't know what's wrong. My dad, my brother, and I all have axim 51v's their bluetooth works fine and mine used to. but as of a couple days ago, I can only send files by bluetooth, not recieve! it doesn't matter what the file is, I've tried everything from ebooks to movies. I cant receive anything. I recently updated to A06 if that matters. I'm going crazy. I used to send pics to my 51v from my phone on a daily basis.

I'm sorry but I don't think anyone can help you with your problem since the x51 is equipped with a crippled bluetooth stack. I tried every possible combinations, x51 to X50 to ipaq to computer, and it seems that the x51 is the one that is unreliable when it comes to bluetooth obex file tranfers. Other devices I tested sends and receive files via bt obex file transfer seamlessly with each other. Our best bet is to wait for Dell to fix this thing whenever it may be.

I thought they were supposed to fix this freakin problem by the end of last year. All the problems with this machine is starting to piss me off. Don't get me wrong, its an awesome machine and I love it but it's like a woman. (girls don't get mad, If your reading this then you have an axim and you are okay in my book)

Umm, I know this really doesn't help but this works for me.... Have you made your X51v discoverable?


Have just discovered that if you go into Settings -> Connections -> Beams and disable "Accept all connections" then you can no longer recieve files from other devices, make sure that this is left on as it applies to both Bluetooth and Infrared (they use the same server program it seems).

Ok thanks, I feel like an idiot. I thought that it was only for infra-red. thank you, you solved my problem. I'm going to go bang my head on the wall now, bye

Right, any who you were able to send files via bluetooth. I can receive but not send, how did you go about doing this. IR is not a problem, but I have never heard of anyone using BT to send on the X51.
