BT problem due to A06? or Hardware?

Could anyone help me to answer this one?
my gf and i have X51V each, however
i recently upgrade to A06 but my gf remain in A01
and then my gf bought a new phone K600i,
we start to use BT to transfer the file, then..
My device doesn't work but she does
my one can only send but not receive, but her one can send/receive with the phone.

my question is , is this ROM's problem or Hardware problem?

thx for the help :approve:

Just if it is ROM problem, i may will have to go back A04 as there are no A01 avaiable,

but if it is hardware problem, i will have to return to Dell for replacement,

Does anyone have the same problem as i do ?...or know the answer of this problem?

Go into Settings -> Connections -> Beam and enable "Recieve all incoming beams"

I know this relates to Infrared, but both IR and BT use the same method for transferring files, and therefore the same program to recieve them. If this is off then you will not recieve files via BT or IR....

I don't think it's the ROM. I am on A06 and have no problem using it to synch and move files, etc. with my laptop. You might want to delete any existing partnerships and "rediscover" them again.

That is a good recommendation however you got to remember that "recieve all incoming beams" are enabled by default.

The problem with bluetooth file transfers probably are not hardware related because the bluetooth card works with other protocols/services. The X51 uses a crippled microsoft stack, meaning a lot of services (eg. A2DP, audio gateway, personal area networking) are not implemented by Dell. OBEX file transfers via bluetooth is there, it's just that it is too unreliable to use. Example: "all incoming beams" enabled on both the X51 and X50, both devices are discoverable--- the X51 can send files via bluetooth to the X50 but it cannot reieve files from the X50. And to think that 2 devices made by the same company would be compatible.

Bluetooth ActiveSync works fine. But I don't think they were talking about transferring files using ActiveSync via bluetooth.
