I have an Axim 51v and I am trying to network with my home PC running XP Pro. I am able to ping my router, and my pc from my 51v, and conversely, my 51v from my PC. I am also able to connect to the internet via the wireless router. But when I try to access files on my pc using either the builtin file explorer, or the Resco Explorer, I am prompted to enter a username, password, and domain. I do not have my pc password protected, and have never setup a username / password to access/protect it. Any ideas?

Don't enter anything and just click "ok". That method works for me. You also have to set your PC for sharing.

Thanks for the reply, I tried that, with no luck. About 2 a.m.I sort of figured it out. I went into the file settings and enabled simple sharing. Not an option I wanted, but until I figure out how I am showing up on the network, I am going to have to stick with it. Thanks again, though.

XP Pro will create accounts for you to use. They may be set up without a password though. When you start up the PC, do you click on a small icon that is your account / username? That is what you need to enter. The domain can be found by right click on My Computer and select Properties and look at the Computer Name tab.
