Snooze & "All Day Event" Reminders

Hi,

I'm plagued with reminder and snooze problems. Haven't found much luck, and I've checked around.

Any registry edits to allow a snooze of something greater than 1 hour and less than one day while using the standard WM5 software? A .5 day or 8 hour option would be nice... Any power users /developers have suggestions/fixes?

Also, setting reminders for "All Day events" for a few days out, the reminder goes off at midnight. This is practically useless, especially with the above issue. (Hmmm... let's see, do I want to wake up again at 1:00 AM or have it ring tomorrow at midnight?)

What, they got one person writing this stuff or what? How do these things slip through the mighty hands of MS?

Any help would be appreciated. (Yes, I know I can buy or download other programs, but I'm trying to avoid that if possible.)

This may not be much help, but I got sick of it too, so I disabled all reminders. If there is a better way, maybe somebody else can chime in....

How did you manage to disable all the reminders?

Did this disable them all in Outlook on the PC as well?

I just want to disable them on my PPC but have them remind me on my PC.

Hmmm... not sure if you can do that. I disabled all. I believe if you change it on one, the other follows.

Should I just have NO REMINDERS then on both devices?

Today I was using my GPS in the car via my BlueTooth connection. My map program would 'stall' out whenever a reminder would pop up on the screen.

So I had to 'snooze' the reminder before the GPS program wouold begin operating again. VERY FRUSTRATING.

The 'arrow' would stop moving until I snoozed the reminder. Then suddenly jump to my new position on the map.

GGRRRrrrrr....

I WANT REMINDERS REMOVED from my AXIM!!!

Please help??!!??

I would disable all. They can be annoying on the pc as well. But here's the thing. As far as I remember, if you disable reminders, it does not disable them for existing events. You disable them in settings for new events. You may have to manually disable each existing one.

I have always set PDA to remind me of an event. When it syncs with pc then they will both remind you. Then dismiss the pda and snooze the pc. The snooze on the pc has more options 2hr 4hr 8hr etc. For some reason the pda does not synch back up and reaquire the reminder, it stays dismissed. Probably a bug but I like it functioning like this for that reason.
