Can't turn x51v on...EVEN AFTER REMOVING BATTERY !!
Hi !!
I can't turn my x51v on, even after removing the battery : it freezes on the blue Dell screen. The only way to turn it off is to remove the battery.
I tried to hard reset it. After the Warning dialog, I press the Contacts button and my x51v reboots...but I still get the same frozen blue Dell screen.
My ROM is the French A00. The new French A01 ROM has been online for 2 or 3 days, but I can't install it because I can't synchronize my PDA with my computer (I need to turn it on before ).
Try leaving it on the cradle so it is charging and then just let it run for a while, like 20-30 minutes and see if it unfreezes itself. I had that happen to me.
"If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get one million miles to the gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside." Robert X Cringely
Addition who needs that kind of stuff any way huh?

I phoned Dell yesterday. They'll send me a new one soon. :)
By the way, I wasn't able to test it, but it seems there's a trick to get Axim technical details : hold Reset + Wifi + Power during 5 seconds and release Power button. Maybe you already know this one, or maybe it doesn't work !!
I've been having problems with getting my Axim out of standby mode to a point of doing a soft reset everytime; finally I tried shuting down WLAN before going into standby mode; haven't had a problem since. Unit comes right back up, then I put the WLAN on and go about my business. When I'm done, I make sure I turn off the WLAN. Seems to cure my problem, but is a pain in the a**.

I had similar issues and after applying ROM A06 and the 'fake server trick' process posted on this site as a 'sticky note' they do not occur any more.
