x51v A06 hangs at "Enabling Wireless..."

Greetings,

I'm an ex-palm user who's had a x51v 624/A06 for about 2 weeks.

When I try to enable wireless using the side button, 9 times out of 10 the "Enabling Wireless" progress bar will stop at the last bit, and refuse to go away. In this state you could still call up new programs, but you can't kill the "Enabling Wireless" window, nor could you access the network. The device would also refuse to go into standby and the backlight will constantly stay on. The only way out is a soft reset.

I've done a hard reset to try to fix this. Have not touched Odyssey since. Prior to doing the hard reset I've also tried uninstalling programs one by one trying to troubleshoot.

This problem won't go away. :-(

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Will.

Will, what else are you running? (That's why there is a View MyPDA section
in your profile, it helps in debugging.)
Also what are the parameters you setup for the WIFI ?

I've only noticed that kind of behavior when I installed an old version
of a program or utility that didn't work with WM5.

My WIFI works every time, has since day 1.

Thanks Watchin,

After much troubleshooting, I think I've pinpoint the problem to the Thinkoutside keyboard driver - the wifi plays up whenever the keyboard driver is enabled, but if I disable it then wifi works flawlessly (despite taking a little longer to activate).

Now off to troubleshoot Activesync. :-(

Cheers,
Will.

I'm glad that helpped! :-)

I see that you have a x50v - are you having the same problem on 2003SE or are you running WM5 too?
