in the settings/connection window choose advanced and make a new connection. give it a name like DialUp and in the window for make new modem connection you'll enter the number for the ISP choose Bluetooth for connection, pair the phone and enter your user name and passord. Then when you want it, hold stylus on the connection and choose "connect" and it does.
Whats the # to dial?? and username and pswd...can u plz give me step by step procedure.(as last procedure seems little confusing). And is it possible to use x51 as a phone directly to dial without using my handset by using any software??

Thx

I have Motorola RAZAR (Cingular) though, do u think that would make a difference? How did u manage to connect them? I can see the phone on the PDA, but the PDA doesn't let me dial or anything via BT, so i don't know what i'm doing wrong.

CAn you please let me know if you have an idea how to go about fixing this or setting it up.

thanks

for those info ...you are on your own !!!

everyone's individual info is different ... you would have to obtain & supply user/pass & phone number on your own !

I've got a Sprint Samsung A-900...aka 'The Blade'...and it has full capability Bluetooth connectivity with my Dell X51v. They pair up easily during initial setup; after that they connect automatically when I open Internet Explorer and I can surf the web, download files, stream smooth video, even watch TV thru ORB. Sprint PCS is a 3G service and the Samsung A-900 phone lets me bring that capability to my Dell X51v. With the right equipment it's a no brainer with no 'work arounds' required.

Hope that helps!

My X51v came with A06, i've had one issue since owning it... okay, it's only been a couple weeks (and yeah, I was one of those who said i'd NOT get an X50/51 series, i'd wait for the next); my issue was connecting to the computer... seems that PC Cillin, (Trend Micro- Interent Security 2006) has a tough firewall... I had to get by that... and I am now all set... Has anyone tried using a motorola v557 as a modem? i'm curious, but i'd have to call cingular and enable my unlimited mobile media access before I do it... but i'd like to know it works first.

Thanks to any and all who help!
