There is a 'Sticky' Note on this site that covers a 'fake server trick' for stopping the loss of your CF or SD card. This 'trick' also will reduce battery drain when your unit is off and help with the 'does not turn on' issue requiring a soft reset to wake your unit up. The thread has detailed instructions and it works 100% of the time for me since applying it over 3 weeks ago.

Yes. Follow the sticky notes, my CF card disappears from time to time before the change. Now it shows up 100% of the time.

I follow the instruction and adjust the active sync manually. On the other hand, my X51v still cannot detect the SD card. Is there any manual way which allow me to teach it and detecting the SD card..Thanks very appreciate!

If you have applied the 'fake server trick' correctly your unit should see a CF or SD card just fine. Try a soft reset with the SD card not inserted. Then insert the card and it should be recognized. Another thing would be to use a card reader on you PC to make sure the SD card has been formated and that the PC can recognize it as an external drive. If the PC can not do this then I would return the card as defective.

Hi,

This is edited.

After re-read your post, I realized that you inserted your SD into another computer, & you also tried to read it from another computer.

If you've tried all the above and still can't read, there's a chance your SD is "damage" but can be fixed and all files can be recovered.

If you have not reformat the SD, and if you have access to a laptop with an SD drive, let me know.
