I had read one person's post regarding their inability to sync subscription music from Napster to their Seagate Microdrive. Has anyone else had this issue with a seagate or Hitachi drive? I am looking to buy a microdrive and want to use it primarily for Napster To Go (ie- subscription music). Any insights would be appreciated.
Yes. I currently am using a 2gb sd card with napster to go. This is working absolutely fine. What I want to know is if there are any issues with using a microdrive to copy and play subscription based music. I had read a couple of posts where poeple said they had issues, but did not elaborate. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are unable to directly copy the music to your PDA there is software on the internet that will copy music as you play it and convert it into a mp3 file. As I remember it was under $20. I would do a search on google.
This is a late response, hope you're still around.
I have that exact issue. I've tried to figure out a way around it, but I'm no expert.
The thing is, if you stick the card (I have Seagate) in the ax and stick that in the cradle, Napster will recognize the ax, but not the card and won't transfer files to the card. If you put the card in a card reader instead, Napster won't recognize the card reader as something it's compatible with.
Of course, if you get the music onto the Axim, you can transfer it onto the card and it will still play, but that takes FOREVER, at least with the Seagate. If you manually put music from Napster onto the card, it won't play without acquiring the rights via net connection. By the way, you have to use WMA for all Napster music, TCPMP doesn't like the DRM, I guess.
So.. that might be a solution, I haven't tested it because when I was messing with this, I was not able to connect. Maybe based on all that, people more knowledgeable than I have a better answer?
As for the recommendation that the previous poster gave, I was under the impression that no program is able to remove Napster's current DRM... If I'm wrong, I would love to know it.

Again in memory serves me right, the application I saw would make a copy of the music from it being played through your pc system and not doing any conversion of the file itself. I was looking for a way to take the audio part of a movie and turn it into a mp3. I do not recall its name but I do recall it was $20.00.
I'm pretty sure it's illegal to remove the DRM from Napsters files, After all, it would allow you to still listen to them after you cancel your subscription.
I have yahoo music. Subscription music with added cf, sd or microdrives is not a problem at all. The interface on yahoo is not that great. And they have doubled the price from the initial offering (so I don' t know that I would resubsribe when my subscription is up in May) but it works.

Guess thats a big OOOPPPSSSS! I did not realize that you rented the music from them I assumed you purchased it like on a CD.
You can make it into a .wma file thats not protected, and use the software already on a xp sp2 pc. All you have to do is play the file and record it with windows movie maker. No special hard/software needed. See this tutorial: http://www33.websamba.com/sp88s5/recaudio.htm
