I have a brand new x51v (Rom A04) with pre-installed softwares. I have installed and run the tweak programs (setsecurity & muitestandfix).
There are many softwares WM2003 users can install and I can get. However, having heard many negative comments on compatibility of softwares and WM2005, I am wondering what softwares I could install and run safely on the unit.
My desire are:
- Softwares for ebooks file such as prc, Repligo and pdf
- Softwares for media files such as mp3, avi, wmv. (Pre-installed Media Player 10 is enough?)
- Utilities soft which gives me more handy control the unit such as File Explorer,
- Games
Please could anyone based on your experience give me advice on the softwares (name and version if possible) I should install and also tell me what softwares I should not install (due to incompatibility).

Do a search for Jukov and you'll see what's compatible. Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy it.

check the top right side for categories of softwares ... and it will let you know which is compatible/incompatible ! :)

BTW... have you also missed the instruction I'd gave about doing this hack ( hint: step #5 in the email instruction file )???

Step 5 was done after step 4 and prior doing step 6.
Not sure what offline msg you mentioned but thanks for the links of fixed site for WM2005.
You must be working for CIA / FBI or I should change my nick name everywhere I go. LOL.

Choose one of the two in the middle of the five highlighted ones (that have pocketpc in their names).

thanks gadgetnerd.....it is certainly is superior than PCMVP and Windows Player 10 i reckon. Hate it when it dim in a middle of a video clip. Now to get myself some free diva clips on the internet...The Beyonce "check on it" is simply vaa..vaa...voom......

Help....i've got two incompatible softwares (ACDSee Mobile -older version and Pocket Money-continually asking for serial no) Should no better than to get those pirated softwares..Uninstall them from my pc and pda. The pc one is not there anymore, but still remain on my pda yet cant open. Unless it's only some leftover icon of the unistalleed ACDSee???????
