I place x51 in the cradle to sync then hook up the usb cable but the computer doesnt always pick it up. Is there a certain procedure to follow when placing the x51 in the cradle to sync? Do you place it in the cradle first then hook up the usb or hook up the usb then cradle it? If i do a reboot then hook it up immeadiatly after it works.

I can get it to work if i hork up the USB then turn off axim and stick it on the cradle. It turns on and connects with the PC. This should work but I have never had a X51v only X50v. Good luck.

1) Attach the cradle to your PC via USB. Ideally, your cradle should be permanently attached to your PC.
2) Start your PC. When your PC start, it'll "see" the USB as (one of its communication ports). Your PC will then load ActiveSync (waiting for you to put your Axim in the cradle).
3. Put your Axim in your cradle (when you want to sync).
4. When you're done syncing, remove ONLY your Axim & leave the cradle attached.

After the PC started, you can dock & undock you Axim as often as you like.
