Finally have gotten my x51v to connect to Internet, however, with EVERY page I get a "Cannot Connect" warning box that has to be dismissed. What is that about?
I don't even want to start on trying to get my emails.....
Check the WiFi tutorial (see link in my signature), I believe there is help there for that error popup.
I believe it is that you are connected via Wifi, but have some sort of security issue (like WEP is enabled on the router, but you don't have it enabled or don't have the proper key on your handheld).

It was the friggin' Connection Notification box in Sounds and Notifications. (Could they hide this sucker any better?!!!). Evidentally this thing was seeing another weak network in the 'hood and letting me know it was there. Well GREAT-O. Why not notify me that the sun is shining while you're at it....
Thanks again for pointing me to your WiFi help thread. It's a great piece of work and now is bookmarked for all my WiFi screw ups and headaches!!!:) :) :)

Glad to point you to a great AximSite resource, but it is not my tutorial, Ikehiker is the brain behind the Wifi tutorial.
I had the same issue with a neighbors wide open WIFI. My unit sees both mine and theirs. I did discover the setting area by rereading my manual. Having had a Ipaq 4150 prior to my X51V my Ipaq would should the different WiFi signals available much easier.
I had to have my SSID transmitted, otherwise my Axim would not see my router (tried a ton of different settings, but the only problem was the SSID).
So, I have a profile on my Axim for my router (with WEP enabled) so at home it only sees my router.
I haven't checkedin a long time to see if I can even see other routers from my house. When my wife first got her Mac laptop (before we got our wireless router) she was able to see one other wifi in our neighborhood. We were surprised that we could even get on the internet with it!
(before anyone haunts me about this, we just stumbled upon it, and didn't do much other than determine that we were on the internet.)
I was having problems recieving my email. I have an account with earthlink. I was able to recieve email after I changed a setting from outlok express to POP3. I have like zero tech ability/knoweledge, but from what I can tell, you have to have the setting that is pertinent to your email server. Good Luck.
Try WebIS.net for there ptogram Mail2 or Profimail from Lonelycatsgames, I am using Profimail and it works like a charm, the text is small on it, but their working on it. The mail program that came with Mobile5 is junk, it takes forever to log in and receive mail and forget about sending mail.
Both places have trial versions.
Hope this helps.
