Activesync problems

My home computer with XP does not seem to do this, but me work computer with Windows 2000 does not recognize my X51v unless I boot the computer up with the device already installed in the cradle. If I remove the device and reinstall with the computer on, it will not recognize the device as being connected nor does manually searching for a connection port work. Does anyone have any thoughts on this issue? I envision it has to do with my computer and possibly the USB port going into a sleep mode. Is there anyway around this issue?

If it is your computer disabling your USB ports, right click on My Computer and select Properties.

Click the Hardware tab then Device Manager button.

Click the + next USB controllers.

Right click on each of the USB Root Hubs and select properties.
Click the Power Management tab and uncheck the box that says to disable.

Everything is OK on my computer. If I do a hard reset, everything works great. I had the same issue on my home computer too so I did the same thing.

I have the same problem. The USB power management boxes are not checked.
This issue is really bugging me.

Reference my other thread on this issue to as it goes into greater detail. This really pisses me off because a hard reset is the only solution sometimes. Something is not right.
