Thanks but, of course my axim is connected via the activsync 4.1
When opening the activsync window I want to go to the third icon named explorer to see what's in my axim but i always get an application error.
Moreover, the windows media player 10 does not detect any device!
But I can synchronise my mails, contacts,...
Seems very strange.
Note: I have re-installed more than ten times.....
This is a problem on your computer, not your Axim or ActiveSync 4.1. I also have the X51v and ActiveSync 4.1 and I have no problems at all. More than likely you've had your computer for a while and have a bunch of Internet toolbars installed. What is commonly forgotten is that EXPLORER and INTERNET EXPLORER are the SAME - the more junk installed on your PC, the less reliable it becomes. If you haven't already, I suggest you invest in Norton System Works 2006 and use Software Cleanup to remove any unwanted programs, then run Norton Win Doctor to improve the health of Windows.

I've tried quite everything but still in the same situation except that I have noticed something new.
When I dock my device, I have access to the explorer founction (I'm capable to see all the files and directories trough my laptop) but as soon as the synchronisation starts, the explorer function seems to be desactivated (not responding).
I have remove my windows XP service pack 2, i have removed all the yahoo and msn messengers, I have re-installed my internet explorer, I have re-installed the activesync and re-do a new device connection but still the same issue !!!!
What I did not tried is to disable the automatic synchronisation to see if I can use the explorer function for a long time and synchronise only when I don(t need the explorer function. How to do that (disabling the automatic sync)?
Please note that I can't add any software on my device as this action needs the explorer to initiate the add/remove function, so this connection issue is a real nightmare for me !!!!
I've had this exact same issue, and I think someone else had a thread on here talking about this... to be honest I never found a solution, I ended up wiping both my computer and device (both for different reasons) and it started working again... I don't know why it started doing this (note, I did'nt install any ie "toolbars" as I don't use IE) Obviously something changed to cause it to break but I have no idea what that was.
