Question SEAGATE 8GB ST1.2 Drive

New Axim X51v user, read a number of reviews about the CF (ORANGE) SEAGATE Photo Drive and Axim with good results. :)

Received an order but the arrived was a CF (WHITE) SEAGATE 8 GB ST1.2 Drive (For Embedded Application Only) instead and it does not appear to be recognised.

Have formatted and Seagate have advised that I have bought an OEM unit so no help.

ANY IDEAS?
Many Thanks

Return it if you can? Sell it on EBAY and try to stick someone else with it like you got stuck? Unfortunatley for you, it won't ever work with your x51v :(

The Seagate CF micro drive that I have (which works in my X51V) has a orange protective sleve around it. If the micro drive you received is white and is not recognized by your Axim I would send it back. My X51V recognized my micro drive as soon as it was placed into the CF slot.

Icon14 SEAGATE 8 GB ST1.2 Drive

Thanks for all your replies,:approve: I agree, and after having bought a new card reader and also considered buying repartitioning software, when in fact I ordered a Seagate ORANGE Photo Drive, from theoretically a good supplier. It MUST go back!!

Thanks again
