How to save files (excel) on SD card

I've recently bought an Axim 51 that I will be using for work. I need to save some excel spreadsheets and other information but I do not want to use the memory on my Axim. I have purchased a 512 mb SD, but when I attempt to save the file on my laptop to the mobile device scan disk it is not an option. Any suggestions? I'm new at this so detailed explanation is appreciated.

Hi

If your laptop has a card reader pop the sd card into that and save the file required.

Or if not you will need to connect your pda to your laptop and use activesync
to save the file

I've read several reviews on different GPS software for PDA's. Any suggestions, I do quite a bit of traveling and am leaning toward Tom Tom Navigator 5 or OCN. I know Dell has there own as well. Is there any advantage to one over the other
