I have had good luck with PCinspector in reclaiming photos from a corrupted SD card, got all but two. The software is freeware.

you want to get the SmartRecovery software.

MarcFou,
Yes, I did perform the check disc and later the defrag. Nothing. The amount of free space on my 1GB card is still 404MB; however, the files are no where to be found.

Is there anything else I can do to recover my Word files. Those are the those that , unfortunately, never back up'd. I will now for sure.

Suggestions from anyone will be greatly appreciated.

Have a great day.

One thing I noticed was that the folders that were on my sd card are now on the BIS however they are empty folders as well and the programs that were on the storage card are not working either.

Thanks Willy Stuff....I'm trying out that software right now. It brings up the pictures pretty well; however, when it comes to Word and Excel docs...not so well. I even switched to "intensive search" and Word settings. Not much luck.

I finally gave in. I could not recover my Word docs at all. With that restore program freeware I was able to recover images and Notes; however, those I had back-up'd on my PC anyways. It was tough, but I gave to give up and re-format my SD card. Now I have my full 1GB free on my card and I can put this all in the past and start over. Yikes...this sounds like I just ended a relationship or something:).
Oh well, you all understand hoiw close we can get to these things.
Once again, thank you everyone for all your help. I really mean it when I say that I appreciate the time to used to help me out.
You're all friends of mine. Have a great day.

Pssstt. Delete temporary Intrenet files.

If you do a lot of surfing don't forget to do this. I was out of memory and couldn't figure out where it all went. When I deleted the temporary internet files it took a good 5 minutes of watching the little color wheel go round. Then poof. all the space is back.
