Question X51V beeps randomly all day

Has anyone figured out how to stop this problem? We have 2 PDA's of this model at our business and both are doiong the same thing. They are connected to the PC's via USB ports using the sync cradle.

I have deleted the bluetooth connection which I had setup because I could never get it to sync properly via bluetooth, turned off the wireless LAN, turned off flight mode, disabled the "accept any beam" option and Odessey is not connected.

It does not beep when it is not connected to the PC. The screen does not come on and it is not running ActiveSync.

On the desktop (XP?) go to my network connections. One of them will be associated with a Windows Mobile device. Disable that and the beeping will stop. When you want to sync or transfer files you will have to re-enable the network connection

Just turn off the speaker on the axim. Unless you need it on.

Beep source discovered

I've finally been sitting next to the PDA long enough to check what is happening at the time it beeps. It is being caused by Active Sync coming on all by itself on the PDA. According to other entries, no one has come up with a good solution for this as of yet. Hopefully Microsoft will de-bug their program soon.
