I got my X51v some days ago. I noticed that the display seemed warped when looked at from the side, picture is slightly blurred when looked on directly (see attachment or this larger pic ). I was on the verge of sending it back except it was easter weekend.

I already kinda had a suspicion about the standard slip case as it fits quite close. So I left it off for a while and the blurred spot vanished within two days. This week I put the cover back on to take it with me and as expected that blur returns.

Anybody else had this problem? Anything to be done short of getting me a different case?

This usually causes a spot that looks sort of like oil under the screen and has a colored ring. The effect is called a moire pattern and as you have found it is usually caused by putting a constant pressure on the screen and goes away after a while. There have been a lot of threads about this and as far as I know it doesn't cause any permanent damage. Welcome to Aximsite! :approve:

Hmm, that Innopocket of yours looks neat. But: Does the extended battery fit in it, too? Or do you have to choose between pocket and battery? :)

unfortunately it won't work with the extended battery. there are plenty of leather cases that will and I think even a couple of aluminum cases too. before you buy anything look at the top of the page under shopping/discounts to see if there are deals. Lots of good stuff on this site.
